Program Summary
The Attention Home is a 24-hour residential program designed for adolescent girls classified as status offenders, not delinquent offenders. It operates as a diversion program, aiming to prevent further involvement with the juvenile justice system by providing structured care and targeted support.
Residents receive a range of services including:
- Individual, group, and family counseling
- Parent education and family support
- A behavior modification program focused on social skills, problem-solving, and values development
In addition to therapeutic services, the Attention Home offers:
- On-site academic instruction
- Recreation and community service opportunities
- A 4-H club and horticultural therapy program
The facility is staffed by trained Child Care Workers, supported by counseling and case management teams. Located adjacent to the Detention Center on McClellan Boulevard, the Attention Home provides a secure, supportive environment for personal growth.
