ACCESS Learning

What is ACCESS?

ACCESS (Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide) is Alabama's statewide distance learning program. ACCESS provides students with opportunities to earn academic credits through online and virtual instruction when courses may not be available through traditional classroom settings.

How ACCESS is Used at CVYS

Coosa Valley Youth Services utilizes ACCESS courses to help students continue their education while receiving services through our programs. ACCESS allows students to remain engaged in coursework, earn credits toward graduation, and work toward their educational goals.

Students participating in ACCESS courses are expected to:

  • Attend scheduled instructional periods.

  • Complete assignments on time.

  • Follow all technology and computer usage guidelines.

  • Communicate with instructors and educational staff as needed.

  • Demonstrate appropriate online behavior.Benefits of ACCESS
